Millwright Maintenance

Our client, Waycon Manufacturing Ltd., based in Penticton, BC, is a leading industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer serving clients across North America. Known for delivering high-quality, custom-built solutions, they support a wide range of industries from a two-acre facility equipped with advanced in-house machinery, state-of-the-art tooling, and cutting-edge engineering technology. Their capabilities span concept design, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and testing.

They are seeking an experienced Millwright to join their team, responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of all equipment across the facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime, while also supporting the assembly department as required. This position is ideal for a highly skilled, self-directed individual with strong mechanical expertise and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment;
  
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems;
  
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability;
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory counts;
  
• Assist with the assembly of equipment and machinery as required;
  
• Assemble OEM machinery and equipment, including installation of reinforced cabs with custom electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems;
  
• Recommend and implement organization, storage, and labeling of tools, materials, and equipment throughout the facility;
  
• Plan and carry out the removal of redundant materials, tools, and equipment to improve workflow and safety.
  

• Certificate or diploma in Millwright or a related field;
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment;
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
  
• Comprehensive knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance best practices;
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform machinery setups;
  
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities;
  
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams;
  
• Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment;
  
• Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance needs and varying shift requirements.
