Production Operator

Job Title: Production OperatorJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up and managing automated production machinery, ensuring quality control in weights, labels, packaging, and troubleshooting machine issues. You will work collaboratively with packagers to ensure smooth operations and use computer systems to enter relevant data.

Responsibilities

• Setup and changeovers of automated production machinery.
• Quality checking including weights, labels, and packaging.
• Start and stop machines to complete basic troubleshooting tasks.
• Collaborate closely with packagers to ensure the production line is running smoothly.
• Enter data using computers and scales for tasks such as weighing.
• Complete necessary paperwork and sanitation duties.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GMP practices.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• At least 1 year of machine operating experience, particularly with line packagers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operation skills.
• Knowledge of HMI and line operations.
• Sanitation expertise.

Work Environment

Our large manufacturing facility is equipped with state-of-the-art automated machinery. It is temperature-controlled, very clean, and complies with GMP requirements, including the use of PPE such as hairnets, beardnets, and safety shoes. With about 400-500 total employees and four crews, each crew consists of around 100 people. The facility operates on a 24/7 schedule with rotating continental day and night shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM.

The pay range for this position is $28.12 - $28.12/hr.
