Position Overview :
RWDI is seeking an accountable individual to join its Air Emissions Testing team as a Field Technician – Ambient Air in our Calgary office.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
The role includes but is not limited to :
Performing regular calibrations and maintenance on ambient air quality and meteorological instrumentationFollowing all standard operating procedures and manufacturer recommendations while calibrating, repairing, and maintaining instrumentationTroubleshooting instrumentation failures and resolving problems quickly to maximize data uptimeMaintaining records of instrument maintenance, calibrations and parts required for continuous operation of ambient monitoring stationsAnalyzing and consolidating air quality data sets, as well as preparing reports and responding to regulator commentsOccasionally interacting with clients, regulators, and the public while performing field workWorking in a fast-paced environment and carrying out tasks with minimal supervisionWe are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications :
Post-secondary education in Environmental Technology or Instrumentation TechnologyMinimum 1-year experience working in the Air Quality fieldAmbient monitoring experience is an assetStrong computer and analytical technical “hands-on” skillsAn aptitude for practical problem solvingField / site experience is a definite assetCandidates should also possess :
The ability to read and work from schematic diagrams and instrumentation manualsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills, as well as being highly motivatedKnowledge of safety procedures applicable to working at industrial locationsWillingness to travel and to work longer hoursThe ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavier equipment safelyAbility to work on several projects at once and proven ability to successfully meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail to ensure a high degree of quality assurance and quality controlA valid driver’s licenseIf you possess 80% of the qualifications listed, please apply since you may have additional skills that would align well with this role.
