Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Canadian Occupational Therapy Program or successful completion of Canadian OT certification exam process.
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
- Membership in Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists is an asset.
- Must have a minimum of one year work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in assessing and working with a pediatric clientele, with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder is necessary; familiarity with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and mental health experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a direct and consultative model, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team is essential.
- Experience with current outcome measures such as The Sensory Profile 2, Peabody Developmental Motor Skills, Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration, and the McMaster Handwriting Assessment.
- Strong written communication skills.
- An ability to be flexible and responsive in delivering services.
- Demonstrated clinical experience, proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Some travel may be necessary.
- Knowledge concerning cultural diversity and proficiency in other languages will be considered assets for this position.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening).
