Location :   Lower Mainland, BC

Salary :   $100,000 - $140,000 base + bonus, benefits, and vacation

About the Role :

The Civil Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of civil construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methods, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.
  • Identify all project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to refine budgets and schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Monitor industry trends, costs, and construction methods to provide accurate and informed estimates.

What Brings You to the Table :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients and internal teams.
