Day-to-day you will be responsible for assisting a production lead in the fabrication and / or assembly of a variety of wastewater treatment filters (Biofilters).
Waterloo Biofilter Systems Inc. manufactures all standard treatment systems from our warehouse in Guelph, Ontario. We provide an indoor work environment in which our production team creates variations of our standard four treatment units.
During daily activities, labourers are expected to work as a cohesive team under the supervision of Production Leads.
Key Responsibilities :
The key responsibilities of Production Labourer Installation include, but are not limited to :
- Following production documentation and drawings.
- Usage of common hand / power tools (drills, hammers, chop saw, drill press etc).
- Building full production models (Biofilters) on a weekly schedule.
- Production of small PVC plumbing assemblies and water level indicating equipment
- Picking / Packing of small parts, and assemblies.
- Assisting Production Leads or Production Manager on custom manufacturing projects when they arise.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Production Labourer are :
- 3 years’ experience required.
- Class G Licence (preferred).
- Ability to think on your feet & respond to complications calmly and efficiently.
- Able to organise your workload and prioritise tasks.
- A team player & a great communicator.
