Job description

Your candidacy is currently being considered for a position within an Alight Inc group company. Please note that Alight has announced its intention to divest its Payroll & Professional Services business to HIG Capital. After the transaction, this position will be part of the new Payroll & Professional Services owned by HIG Capital ('Divested Group'). Responsibilities

  • Independently consults with external clients and participates in all stages of the Workday project lifecycle, including planning, design, testing, and deployment for Workday HCM and Total Rewards applications.
  • Effectively manages medium to large client deliverables across multiple projects, adhering to Alight’s quality standards and consulting methodology.
  • Manages personal work to align with project scope, timeline, and budget, coordinating with team members as needed.
  • Listens to client requests, assesses actual needs, provides expertise, proposes alternatives, and recommends solutions.
  • Discusses lessons learned, Workday best practices, and Alight's Point of View with clients.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced colleagues by directing work and reviewing deliverables.
  • Participates in internal initiatives to build Alight’s brand, including domain groups, chats, and training.
  • Contributes to the Workday ecosystem by participating in product groups and chats.
  • Develops specialized skills within the Learning domain.
  • Creates work estimates for various project sizes.
  • May lead or consult on complex projects independently.

Knowledge and Expertise

  • 3 to 5+ years of consulting experience implementing ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, ADP, or similar SaaS solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong work ethics and excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Workday HCM+ Certification is strongly preferred.
  • This role does not offer sponsorship.
  • Certification is a role requirement; uncertified candidates must pass Workday certification and recertification.
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Math, Human Resources, Computer Science, or a related field.
