Job Description

Develop and Implement Commercial Strategies

  • Create and execute commercial plans aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Strive to accelerate growth by identifying new opportunities.

Market Research and Business Planning

  • Conduct thorough market research to assess threats and opportunities.
  • Formulate detailed business plans for commercial endeavors, including expansion and business development.
  • Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management
  • Understand the needs of existing customers and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Actively acquire new customers and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate Across Teams
  • Work closely with diverse teams such as marketing, sales, and customer service.
  • Coordinate efforts to achieve commercial objectives.

Stakeholder Partnerships

  • Build and sustain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships that contribute to the company's success.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor commercial activities using key metrics.
  • Prepare reports for senior management to evaluate performance.

Financial Targets and Budgeting

  • Assist in setting financial targets.
  • Contribute to budget development and monitor financial performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven Experience : At least 20 years experience in the mining sector
  • Previous experience as a Commercial leader or in a relevant role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales, marketing, and managing relationships with key clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in mining.
  • Market Insight : In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis.
  • Financial Acumen : Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial / budgeting processes.
  • Strategic Thinking : Combine commercial awareness with a strategic mindset.
  • Leadership and Communication : Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Education : Engineering degree, bachelor's degree (BSc / BA) in business administration, finance. A master's degree (MSc / MA) is a plus.
