Job Description
Develop and Implement Commercial Strategies
- Create and execute commercial plans aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Strive to accelerate growth by identifying new opportunities.
Market Research and Business Planning
- Conduct thorough market research to assess threats and opportunities.
- Formulate detailed business plans for commercial endeavors, including expansion and business development.
- Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management
- Understand the needs of existing customers and ensure their satisfaction.
- Actively acquire new customers and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Collaborate Across Teams
- Work closely with diverse teams such as marketing, sales, and customer service.
- Coordinate efforts to achieve commercial objectives.
Stakeholder Partnerships
- Build and sustain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships that contribute to the company's success.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor commercial activities using key metrics.
- Prepare reports for senior management to evaluate performance.
Financial Targets and Budgeting
- Assist in setting financial targets.
- Contribute to budget development and monitor financial performance.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience : At least 20 years experience in the mining sector
- Previous experience as a Commercial leader or in a relevant role.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales, marketing, and managing relationships with key clients.
- Demonstrated experience in mining.
- Market Insight : In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis.
- Financial Acumen : Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial / budgeting processes.
- Strategic Thinking : Combine commercial awareness with a strategic mindset.
- Leadership and Communication : Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Education : Engineering degree, bachelor's degree (BSc / BA) in business administration, finance. A master's degree (MSc / MA) is a plus.
