Entuitive is looking for a Structural Contract Administrator, based in our Toronto office. This position will be primarily responsible for contract administration for projects in construction but will also have the opportunity to contribute to our design team. The role will involve both office and field responsibilities.

What will you do?

  • Conduct field review and shop drawing review to ensure adherence to the contract documents
  • Review of contractor quotes for change orders
  • Respond to RFI’s from the contractor to provide clarity and direction.
  • Review progress billings and issue Site Instructions.
  • Attend regular site meetings with contractors, other consultants, and clients.
  • Assist in budgeting, coordinating, and monitoring Contract Administration hours.
  • Manage contract administration for several projects in parallel involving multiple internal and external teams. The projects will vary in building types, structural materials, and delivery methods.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with contractors, clients, and colleagues.
  • Perform analysis and structural design where necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What do you need to succeed?

  • A degree or diploma in civil engineering or related education specializing in structural.
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience in building construction.
  • Familiar with contract types including P3, design build and lump sum delivery methods
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of construction materials and products used in building construction, with a focus on concrete, steel, wood, and masonry.
  • Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs including Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
