Our Public Sector Client requires a Senior Project Manager (10+ years) to support a large-scale digital modernization to reduce manual data capture, enhance online services, and adopt new technologies .
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and manage project tasks spanning across the organization.
- Create, maintain, review and update relevant project documentation and artifacts such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS);
Schedules, Risk and Issue Tracking; Status Reports, etc.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules and plans using MS Project.
- Track and monitor project change requests.
- Assist and support Team / Project Manager coordinating projects activities during the development and implementation phases.
- Review, monitor and comment on project activities, deliverables and timelines. Supporting spring planning and scrum meetings.
- Prepare presentations using MS PowerPoint to present to IT Team Leaders and Senior Management.
Must Haves :
- 10+ years as a Project Manager within an IT Environment
- 3+ years working within an agile environment performing sprint planning and scrum meetings
- 5+ years managing multiple IT projects with similar timelines and competing priorities and working collaboratively with other project management personnel from other areas of the organization
- 5+years within the last 10 years managing IT projects* and providing IT project management support including performing the following functions :
- Conduct and organize project start-up activities
- Determine and identify tasks and deliverables
- Develop and maintain project timelines
- Oversee and coordinate project activities
- Prepare progress reports including identifying risks and issues
- Organize and facilitate meetings, walkthroughs, and presentations
- Experience presenting to Senior Level Executives
Nice to Haves :
- University Degree or College Diploma in project management, business administration, computer science, network administration or computer technical support.
- PMP or Prince2
- Previous experience working as a Project Manager at Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
