The President and CEO (PCEO), subject to the policies and directions of the Board of Directors, shall be responsible and accountable for the strategic, operational leadership, and management of the Misericordia Health Centre. The PCEO will ensure that operations are translated into actionable patient care and compassionate care initiatives and meets the tenets of Service Purchase Agreements, enhance programs and services to meet the emerging needs and priorities. The President and CEO champions operational excellence through a culture of continuous improvement and innovation and upholds Misericordia’s Catholic faith-based mission and values including, ethical decision making and the Misericordia Sisters’ legacy.
In addition, the President and CEO communicates and collaborates with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) with respect to matters which will have system-wide impact guided by the Service Purchase Agreement.
Other requirements and notices: This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
