Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and analyze detailed cost estimates for low-rise residential construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and budget alignment.
  • Conduct material take-offs, review drawings, and evaluate project specifications.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and efficiency.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Monitor and adjust estimates throughout the pre-construction and construction phases.

    • Skills and Experience :

  • Construction Expertise : Extensive experience in cost estimating within the low-rise residential construction sector.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and scope documents to generate precise estimates.
  • Negotiation Skills : Proven ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project costs.
  • Experience : Minimum 5+ years of estimating experience in residential construction, ideally within a homebuilding environment.
  • Education : Post-secondary degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
