Position Summary
As a Supply Educator, you will navigate a fluctuating schedule, fostering community connections through daily interactions with children, colleagues, and families at numerous child care centres and before and after school programs. Contributing to a team of highly skilled and passionate Educators, you will provide care and education to children ranging from 0-12 years old. You will implement an emergent curriculum through a pedagogical lens, facilitate learning experiences, remain curious alongside the children, and consistently strive to deepen your understanding of the culture you cultivate within a classroom.

o Job Type : On-Call, Casual Positions
o Hours : Various shifts available, up to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
Work within a fluctuating schedule, adapting to diverse routines and schedules across different centresMaintain constant supervision and prioritize the physical and emotional safety of children at all timesImplement an emergent curriculum by fostering and nurturing child-led learning experiences that support children in exploring topics that cultivate their curiosityCollaborate with families to share insights, involve them in the curriculum planning process, and seek input on children’s interests and needsSeek to understand children’s diverse needs and abilities and provide an inclusive program within a community based practiceComprehend and adhere to the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), health and safety guidelines, and London Bridge policies and proceduresPerform a range of administrative functions, such as documenting children’s attendance, maintaining daily charts and medication logs, and accident reports as required dailyAttend professional learning and engage in reflective conversations alongside colleagues to create an inclusive and nurturing environment for all childrenQualifications
Experience working with children, including those with diverse needs, is considered an assetRegistered Early Childhood Educator qualification, or, post-secondary degree / diploma in a related field; or is currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree / diploma programIf applicable, a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood EducatorsStrong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skillsCurious, reflective, and eager for ongoing professional growthDemonstrates a high degree of flexibility and adaptability in responding to the evolving needs, interests, and dynamics of the children, the program, and the environmentVulnerable Sectors Check within the last 6 monthsStandard First Aid and CPR Level C (WSIB approved)Immunizations Records (Tetanus Toxoid and Rubella)Why Join us?
