Responsibilities

Tasks include : Load and unload goods; Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks; Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and equipment; Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections; Communicate with dispatch; Record cargo info, hours, distance, and fuel consumption; Tarp and secure cargo for safety.

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brake (Z) Endorsement; Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Experience and specialization

Knowledge of documentation : Driver logbook; Inspection reports

Type of trucking : Tractor-trailer

Navigation experience : Operate GPS and other navigation systems

Additional information

Security : Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation info : Valid driver’s license

Physical requirements : Attention to detail; Physically demanding; Repetitive tasks

Weight handling : Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
