We are seeking for a highly motivated and career-minded Operations Manager to join our Team at the Fraserway RV, Four Seasons RV, Rentals, at our Abbotsford (North Parallel) Location. JOB DUTIES : GENERAL MANAGEMENT :

  • Ensure all aspects of the Four Seasons RV Rentals location operations and facilities are managed and maintained in accordance with Fraserway RV Branding, Policies and Procedures and Values.
  • Interact with the local leadership team (department managers and key staff) to review overall operations and each department's challenges, working together to implement effective solutions.
  • In liaison with the Fixed Operations Manager, Delta, lead the recruitment process to secure quality candidates for international and local hiring needs.
  • Manage and improve synergies between Service and Rentals at Four Seasons RV Rentals,
  • Effectively manage and resolve customers’ and employees’ issues.
  • Improve productivity through identifying, gaining buy-in and implementing process and systems development for all departments.
  • Implement standard training and develop and monitor the effectiveness for all location staff (in conjunction with People & Culture)
  • Ensure all location staff receive performance reviews annually, in addition to regular feedback and coaching.
  • Foster positive relations, teamwork, and a collaborative mindset with other Fraserway locations, to enhance synergies and optimal ways of working,
  • In conjunction with VP Rentals take responsibility for building and maintaining positive community relations and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Undertake special projects from time to time and during the winter months such as process mapping, training, streamlining procedures etc.
  • Any other items, as directed by the National Manager – Rentals Operations.
  • RENTAL OPERATIONS :

  • Manage local rental fleet and rental supplies.
  • Perform and oversee the various tasks within the Rentals Location (NP), such as front-office activities, preparation of rental units, housekeeping, general upkeep of the rental fleet (maintenance, repairs, and service), Customer Service etc.
  • Conduct administrative duties as required, such as reporting and following up on outstanding tasks.
  • Plan, assign and direct rentals employees and schedule / delegate client transfers and shuttle bus drivers.
  • Address and respond to any concerns or issues within the location.
  • Aid in the preparation of budgets and the monitoring of expenses and financial targets for the Rentals Location (NP).
  • Aid in inspecting department areas and services to ensure compliance with health and safety and other statutory requirements.
  • Supervise and provide advice, support, guidance, and direction to staff; monitor the performance of staff on an ongoing basis; aid in conducting annual performance reviews; and initiate disciplinary action as required.
  • Provide written and verbal reports to the National Manager, Rentals on activities on an ongoing basis and as requested from time to time.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours / weekends, as required.
  • Contribute to the development of the FWRV Group vision and strategy to guide the Rentals Location.
  • PROFESSIONAL REQIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field, , tourism and hospitality, business administration
  • At least 5 years’ experience running a business unit and leading and developing a team and managing day-2-day operations including recruitment.
  • RV industry and tourism and hospitality experience is a strong asset.
  • Financial acumen including building core metrics, interpreting income statements so as to make sound revenue and service-based recommendations.
  • Positive Prior track record of working with Business system and process development
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service and operational management experience with a pragmatic and team player mindset
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Dutch / and or German speaking. French is an added asset, not a requirement.
