Mobile Multi Site Manager – Kal Tire

Overview
Kal Tire seeks a mobile multi site manager to oversee and support all northern sites in B.C. and the Yukon. The role is mobile across the region and collaborates with the existing Northern Site Manager. Preferred location is a northern community, ideally in the Northern BC Region (e.g., Prince George).
Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise recruitment of site service personnel (in conjunction with the HR Manager).
- Ensure safe work performance of the tire service team.
- Set clear role objectives, service standards, and provide tools and processes to achieve results.
- Deliver improvement plans and projects for the team.
- Manage service activities within agreed budgets.
Health & Safety
Implement Kal Tire’s Health & Safety Program (D&A Program, FLRA, Hazard Analysis, SWP’s, Accident / Incident Investigation & Reporting, Monthly Safety Meetings & Inspections).Support health and safety committee initiatives.Conduct regular safety and toolbox talks.Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Lead safety and CSR practices; contribute to environmental goals.Training & Development
Document and update Career Track Training and site‑specific training (forklift, manipulator, hiab).Identify additional training needs to improve effectiveness and efficiency.Provide coaching and mentoring on the shop floor.Conduct bi‑annual performance reviews.Communication
Provide a monthly report on area activities using defined KPIs.Provide daily, weekly, monthly reporting to the customer as required.Attend and participate in customer meetings.Give continuous feedback regarding customer activities and changes.Standard of Service
Ensure site inspections, tire and wheel inspections, air pressure monitoring, scheduled rotations and change outs.Participate in scrap tire inspections and analysis with the manufacturer.Provide Tire Tracking data, analysis and information.Ensure quality training and understanding of quality service.Maintain appropriate equipment and tooling.Coordinate travel and shift schedules; balance multiple site needs.Policies & Procedures
Ensure compliance with the relevant Company, Customer or governmental policies and procedures.Keep Kal Tire S.W.P’s up to date, reviewed, and enforced.Follow customer‑specific orientations and S.W.P’s and policies.Conduct F.L.R.A.s as required.Technology
Maintain the “Tire Track” system and relevant reports and analysis.Encourage and aid in conducting weight studies.Proactively understand new technology to aid in tire maintenance.Purchasing & Distribution
Ensure adequate inventory is on hand or readily available.Manage inventory with regards to shipping, receiving, invoicing, POS.Maintain TOMS with regards to tires by location to identify stock, spare, out for repair.Customer & Industry Knowledge
Develop and maintain knowledge and documentation of the customer business.Analyze and provide proper tires and product selection for applications.Measure and understand the customer’s annual tire needs and related costs.Educate the customer on tire awareness presentations.Retread & Repairing
Maintain and document a solid tire repair program through inspections, assessments and proactive repairs.Support and encourage retreading where possible.Actively track timelines on tires out for repair.People
Kal Tire currently has 18 team members in the region working on a 7 or 14‑day rotation on day and night shifts.Challenges / Opportunities
Region is vast and travel is constant every month (~50 / 50).The Manager will ensure that all day‑to‑day tire‑related activities on site are managed safely and efficiently.Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
Minimum 5 years of Mining Tire maintenance experience.Minimum 5 years of operations sales experience within the tire sales industry or related field.Minimum 5 years of supervisory leadership experience.High school diploma and post‑secondary education plus a diploma in administrative management, operations or related field.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of TOMs, Inspection / tire change apps and fleetio.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Sound judgment to identify and resolve problems under pressure.Ability to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.Experience in undertaking administrative work in an office environment.Motivated, self‑starter who can find solutions.Understand safe work procedures and safety performance measures.Understand tire failure causes and analysis.Understand invoicing cycle and importance of deadlines, monthly data analysis, retrieval and tire management reporting.Understand importance of tire maintenance plans and safety compliance.Benefits
