What We’re Looking For :

  • Education & Training : Postsecondary education or training in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications : Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
  • Experience : 1-3 years of construction experience, with knowledge of building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, safety, and quality management practices for large, complex projects.
  • Project Knowledge : Strong understanding of diverse project types, delivery methods, construction sequencing, and timelines.
  • Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of project construction laws, building codes, and the ability to apply such knowledge effectively.
  • Software Proficiency : Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, along with project management, scheduling, and estimating software.

    • Your Role at Steelcon :

    As a Project Manager at Steelcon, you will be responsible for managing the scheduling, resourcing, and performance of the projects assigned to you. You will oversee all aspects of project execution, from design review through to final completion, ensuring that all client requirements and project standards are met.

    Your responsibilities will include :

  • Project Management : Provide overall technical expertise and administrative support for multiple projects or specific areas of a larger project.
  • Design Documentation Review : Leverage the necessary team members to review design documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality. Seek resolution from the design team as applicable to various project stages.
  • Policy Compliance : Ensure that all owner, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Client Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong, customer-focused relationships with all project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
  • Team Coordination : Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Continuous Improvement : Contribute to improving project management processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and project success rates.
