• are certified to teach in BC
• have education or experience in special education
• have skills in developing instructional strategies based on strengths and needs of individual students
• are ready and able to collaborate with school teams to adapt, accommodate, and modify learning outcomes for students based on their learning needs
• has experience with IEP and SMART goal development
• believes that all students can learn to high levels
• be student and learning-focused in an action / solution oriented school
• are flexible and adaptable in meeting student’s needs
• recognize the importance of building relationships to improving learning
• are familiar with the Read Well, Corrective Reading, Reading Master & Saxon Math programs
