University Sprinklers is the largest irrigation and landscape lighting installation and service company in Canada. We have a dedicated team of over 100 employees and serve more than 10,000 clients mostly in the Lower Mainland. Our head office is in Delta, and we provide service and installation from a network of more than 55 decentralized vehicles.
Your Job Duties
Service, repair & adjustment of irrigation and landscape lighting systems at between 5 and 15 sites per dayResponsible operation of a company service vehicle, including its maintenance and inventory control / billingProfessional and courteous interaction with new clients dailyManagement of existing accountsIdentification and presentation of upgrade options for clientsAdhering to appointment schedulesClear and strong communication with the office / schedulersA basic understanding of computers and applicationsAn aptitude for practical field / trades work including physical labour, and a basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, landscaping / gardeningA professional and courteous representation at all timesQualifications

What is the service season? The service season generally runs from March 15 to November 30, with a slow period in winter and from mid‑July to late August.
How long do people normally stay in a service role? Some Service Technicians have over 15 years in the role, and many transition to sales or installation positions.
Do I provide benefits? We offer a $500.00 per annum medical reimbursement program, pay for your MSP, and cover all industry‑related training and certifications.
Can I earn a commission? Yes. Base per‑hour compensation is provided, with the opportunity to earn commissions on additional work or quoted projects.
What support does University Sprinklers offer to make me successful? We provide tools, training, mentorship, supportive office staff, additional labourers / foremen for large projects, a robust internal database / CRM, and a network of suppliers.
Will I be driving a company vehicle? Yes. Fuel, repairs, maintenance are paid, and the vehicle is monitored by GPS. You are responsible for its safe operation and maintenance scheduling.
Is travel time paid? Travel between sites is not directly paid, but compensation is structured to cover time from first to last site (piece‑work model).
What do I need to supply? Bring common sense, a good attitude, and a desire to learn and do things properly. Steel‑toe boots are required.
