As an intern at HUB youll be part of our collaborative culture where your contributions matter and your growth is supported. This internship is specifically designed to give you exposure to the many career opportunities within the fast-growing insurance brokerage industry.

Youll gain hands-on experience working alongside our Commercial Lines Personal Lines Employee Benefits or Retirement & Private Wealth teams learning the ins and outs of our business while exploring areas like client service sales and more.

Throughout the program youll learn directly from industry experts across risk insurance employee benefits retirement and wealth management building both your professional skills and the foundation for a successful future career.

Full-time paid May 4th to August 28th 2026 (17-week) internship working out of one of our branches in Kelowna BC.

Program Highlights

• Full-Time Pathway: Our program is strategically designed to identify and nurture exceptional talent. Top-performing interns will have the opportunity to pursue full-time roles across HUBs Canadian branches after graduation.

Participate in our Speaker Series to learn from industry leaders and connect with interns and professionals across Canada and take part in national networking opportunities for a rich hands-on industry experience.

• Professional Development: Participate in workshops seminars and networking events designed to enhance your communication problem-solving and leadership skills.

• Licensing and Training: Gain comprehensive training and the opportunity to earn your Level 1 General Insurance License equipping you with the credentials to advance your career.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities May Include:

• Client Engagement: Collaborate with our sales and service teams to work with clients and communities to understand unique regional needs.

• Policy Administration: Gain hands-on experience in managing policies endorsements renewals data management and assisting in claims processing.

• Market Research: Support analysis of insurance markets and regional trends.

• Technical Training: Participate in workshops and training sessions to strengthen your skills and industry knowledge.

• Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project updates findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

What you will bring to the role:

• Post-secondary students with an expected graduation date of Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

• A positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn about the insurance industry.

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills adept at prioritizing and handling multiple tasks.

• A collaborative team player with a desire to help others.

• Independent and self-motivated capable of autonomous work

Compensation:

The expected hourly rate for this position is $19.00 to $23.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level.
