Farm Hand / Labourer

Job DescriptionDykshoorn Farms is seeking a dedicated farm hand to join our team. Located north and south of the town of Foremost Alberta, Dykshoorn Farms is a mixed farming operation, farming small grains as well as raising beef cattle. The ideal candidate will assist in all the various farm operations, equipment maintenance, and livestock care. Applicants must be willing to work productively with others and be open to learning new things.Key ResponsibilitiesOperating farm equipment for various tasks including seeding, trucking, harvest, hayingPerform equipment maintenanceUse hand tools and power tools for a variety of repairs and construction projectsRepairing and building fenceFeeding livestockProcessing cattleExperienceValid class 5 license required (class 1 is preferred)Ability to do simple math and work through manuals to problem solveFarm machinery experience is preferredMechanical experience for maintenance and repair is beneficialJob TypeFull time (though seasonal would be considered)Competitive pay based on experienceCompany Vehicle will be provided40-80 hour work weeks depending on seasonBenefits package offered
