Responsibilities :
Ensure Compliance with VIHA sanitation and safety standards for both guests and staff.Regularly inspect restaurant equipment and facilities to ensure functionality and visual appeal, coordinating timely repairs and maintenance as needed.Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction, actively engaging with guests to gather feedback and address concerns.Create a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring the restaurant is clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.Oversee development of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage menus, incorporating trends and seasonal specials.Manage inventory for glassware, china, silverware, and condiments to ensure sufficient supplies.Manage ordering and stocking of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic products.Supervise bar staff, ensuring accurate opening and closing liquor inventories.Review and approve voids, discounts, and adjustments on bills.Update POS system to reflect current menu offerings and pricing.Schedule front-of-house staff to align with operational needs.Assist during peak times, supporting bar staff and servers while expediting kitchen orders as needed.Facilitate accurate tip-outs for servers and kitchen staff and oversee cash / credit closeouts for all staff.Lead hiring process, in collaboration with Human Resources, and oversee the training and onboarding of new team members.Mentor and support staff to ensure they meet performance standards and contribute to a positive team environment.Collaborate with leadership to enhance restaurant operations, guest offerings, and reputation as a top culinary destination.Requirements :
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.A Diploma or Degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management is considered an asset.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality field required.At least 1 year of supervisory experience is required.Smart Serve Certification is mandatory.Background in food and beverage and / or hotel management is preferred.Knowledge of food safety regulations and experience maintaining compliance with health and licensing standards.Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, community partners, and stakeholders.Proficient in computer software, especially MS Office (Word and Excel).Adaptability and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.A vehicle is required for commuting.Don't miss out on this Restaurant Supervisor position in Gold River, BC.
