Senior Product Manager

Staffing Lab represents a client that has asked us to assist in identifying a candidate for a Full Time Senior Product Manager for an opening within their organization.

Base up to 120k CAD plus year end 10% bonus. Must be open to travel up to 10% including international.

As a Senior Product Manager you will play a critical role in defining, developing, and delivering on-premise and cloud-based software solutions that streamline the lifecycle management of the product.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, research, and compliance to ensure that both on-premise and cloud-based solutions meet industry standards and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities :

• Product Vision & Strategy : Own the product roadmap for the certification software, aligning both on-premise and cloud-based solutions with the company's strategic goals, industry regulations, and customer needs.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including certification labs, automotive companies, and research teams, to gather requirements, understand pain points, and validate product solutions for both deployment models.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with engineering, design, QA, and data teams to define features and functionality that enhance the certification process and maintain the integrity of dummies records, regardless of whether the software is deployed on-premise or in the cloud.
• On-premise and Cloud Software Development : Guide and manage the development of software platforms that can be deployed both on-premise and in the cloud, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across deployment models.
• Definition of Done (DoD) : Collaborate with engineering teams to establish clear "Definition of Done" criteria for both on-premise and cloud projects, ensuring all features meet security, scalability, reliability, and compliance standards before release.
• Certification Process Management : Develop and refine software workflows that ensure seamless integration of third-party lab certifications into the digital records for both on-premise and cloud-based platforms.
• Data Integrity & Security : Ensure that both on-premise and cloud-based software adheres to best practices for data integrity and security, particularly regarding sensitive information related to product usage and certifications.
• Agile Practices : Lead the product development process using Agile practices, specifically tailored to the nuances of on-premise and cloud-based environments, with a focus on continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Performance Metrics & KPIs : Define and track key performance metrics specific to both on-premise and cloud software, ensuring the product delivers value in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• User Experience : Ensure the software provides an intuitive and efficient user experience for test engineers, certification professionals, and regulatory bodies across both on-premise and cloud deployments.

Qualifications :

• Experience : 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in software development for regulated industries such as automotive, aerospace, or healthcare.
• Cloud & On-Premise Expertise : Deep understanding of both on-premise software solutions and cloud infrastructure (e.g.

AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and how each impacts product development, particularly in terms of performance, security, and scalability.

• Definition of Done (DoD) : Strong knowledge of "Definition of Done" for both on-premise and cloud-based projects, ensuring that the software meets all functional and non-functional requirements before deployment.
• Technical Acumen : Familiarity with software development processes, databases, and API integrations, particularly in managing complex data records and certification workflows across both deployment models.
• Leadership : Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on product goals and priorities.
• Agile Methodology : Experience in Agile practices tailored to on-premise and cloud-based development, including sprint planning, backlog management, and working closely with engineering teams to deliver iterative improvements.
• Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions based on performance metrics, user feedback, and industry research across both deployment models.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Familiarity with Cloud and On-Premise Testing Equipment : Prior experience working with on-premise and cloud-integrated testing systems, or related safety systems.
• Certification Knowledge : Understanding of third-party certification processes and how they can be integrated into both on-premise and cloud platforms.
• Compliance Focused : Familiarity with regulatory environments where compliance with global standards is critical, especially in both on-premise and cloud-based data storage and processing.
