Spire Mechanical Ltd. is a growing commercial HVAC contractor serving the Greater Vancouver area. We specialize in air conditioning, ventilation, and full‑service heating and cooling systems for commercial and institutional clients.

We are hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Lead Technician to take ownership of field work, support project execution, and mentor junior technicians. This role is ideal for a skilled commercial HVAC professional who wants lead responsibility, strong pay, and real career growth—without getting lost in a large corporate structure.

What You'll Do

• Lead installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems
• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and commissioning
• Interpret mechanical drawings, controls schematics, and specifications
• Coordinate on‑site activities with project managers, contractors, and other trades
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians
• Ensure work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Complete service reports, documentation, and job records accurately
• Support preventative maintenance programs and system upgrades
• Act as a technical leader and represent Spire Mechanical professionally on site

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, including lead‑level work
• Red Seal Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic or Sheet Metal Worker
• Strong understanding of VRF systems, hydronics, ventilation, and controls
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC systems
• Experience coordinating work and guiding other technicians
• Class B or A Gas Fitter (asset)
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to work across the Lower Mainland
