Our client, rich with history, is seeking a passionate, people driven, Human Resources (HR) Manager to join their manufacturing plant in Golden, BC.

This role will require relocation

The Human Resource Manager will work in partnership with the local Plant Manager as well as have support from their international team, ensuring the upkeep of a happy, healthy, and productive working environment. This hire will support over employees and contractors in both a unionized and non unionized environment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The key job functions are :

• Implement and administer policies, procedures, and programs related to employee wellbeing and safety
• Develop and manage recruiting and retention strategy with the support of the Plant Manager
• Recruiting, interviewing, job placement, and hiring
• Responsible for support, training and enforcement of all site programs and compliance activities
• Plan and execute employee appreciation events / celebrations and engagement
• Maintain effective working relationship with union and properly administer agreements
• Interpret, manage and consult on grievance and arbitration
• Assist, as necessary, with contract negotiations
• Operational policy updating and management (annual training, job specific training)
• Management of LMS system in coordination with Safety and Training
