Lead Cloud Test Manager

Markham Ontario

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement testing strategies for cloud-based applications (Guidewire) and services on AWS
  • Lead and manager a team of testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment of testing processes with development and operations
  • Design and execute automated and manual test cases, ensuring coverage of functional, performance, and security aspects
  • Utilize AWS tools and services to enhance testing capabilities and efficiencies
  • Establish and maintain test environment, ensuring they are aligned with production settings
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in cloud testing and AWS technologies
  • Develop and maintain testing documentation, included testing plans, test cases and test reports

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years of meaningful experience in QA / QE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in cloud testing and management, specifically AWS
  • Experience with Test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, JAVA, Junit, TestNG)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in team management and collaboration
  • Guidewire Associate cloud certification (preferred)
  • Demonstrated capability in leading a large program from a QA perspective
  • Solid experience in the P&C insurance industry
  • Strong experience with the Guidewire application
  • Knowledge, skills & capabilities

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies and testing methods
  • Expertise in Functional (Automated & Manual) and Non-Functional Testing (NFT methodology and all aspects of NFT such as performance, load, capacity, availability,
  • Proficiency with test & defect management, and application lifecycle management tools
  • Experience with metrics and measurements related to testing
  • Ability to develop and recommend improvements for the NFT or other testing types
  • Application, Database, Batches and OS performance tune-up and optimization
  • Strong initiative and a positive demeanor
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Ability to design, collaborate, communicate, and deliver effective QA solutions
  • Resourceful and creative troubleshooting skills
