Job description

NUTRITIONISTType of position : Temporary part-time (3 days per week for 1 year)Salary : 30,09$ - 53,33$ per hour according to years of experience. Salaries are set from ranges 1 to 18 according to the number of years of work experience and education relevant to the job on the candidate's CV. It is therefore important to indicate the months and years in which each work experience began and ended. Reporting to the Head of Social Services, Psychology and Nutrition, the nutritionist assesses nutritional status, determines and implements an intervention strategy aimed at adapting diet to needs in order to maintain or restore health. They are also involved in clinical teaching.Responsibilities - Evaluates the client's nutritional status; - Determines an intervention strategy aimed at adapting nutrition to the client's needs; - Works with outpatients (85%) and inpatients (15%); - Intervenes with pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine patients suffering from various neuromusculoskeletal conditions or sports injuries, and presenting a variety of nutritional problems : food selectivity, oral motor difficulties, poor weight gain, accelerated weight gain, nutritional deficiencies, malnutrition, digestive disorders, disordered eating / eating disorders and the athlete's triad; - Conducts individual consultations with patients and their families, and may be called upon to perform joint interventions with other health professionals; - Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team (nurse practitioner, nurse clinician, psychologist, social worker, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and physician). - Collaborates with departments involved in food supply and advises them as needed; Provides occasional replacements for the dietetic technician. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition; - Member of the Ordre des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec.
