Your new company

You will be joining a real estate investment, development and property management company with a significant presence across Canada. They own and manage over $4 billion in assets and have been involved in the acquisition, development, and redevelopment of more than 300 retail projects, totaling over 50 million square feet.

Your new role

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the assigned commercial real estate portfolio or complex of buildings with a focus on safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence. This position involves delivering technical services and support across both operational and administrative functions, ensuring that the property meet the highest standards of maintenance and efficiency. Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on various systems, maintaining accurate logs and records, and overseeing fire safety inspections. It includes responding to tenant inquiries, collaborating with team members, completing mandated safety training, conducting environmental inspections. The position also requires supporting tradespeople, staying updated on industry practices, maintaining professionalism, participating in operations meetings, and performing other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed

You have 2+ years' experience in commercial property management or building operations, with a strong background in managing building systems like HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. A BES Level 1 and 2 certification is preferred. You will have experience working with contractors and vendors, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. Key skills include multitasking, problem-solving, proficiency in Microsoft Office and building management software, and strong time management. Excellent communication skills, knowledge of safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. G license and vehicle is required for this role.
