The Manager Business Continuity Management is integral to the success of the Aligned Assurance team, and to CAAT’s guiding mission and growth strategy.

This role will play a key part in evolving CAAT’s emergency response activities, supporting departments across the organization in making informed business decisions. This position will be responsible for successfully designing, building, implementing and operationalizing BCM at CAAT as well as support with other key initiatives on an as needed basis. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Risk and Compliance Management the successful candidate will assist CAAT in strengthening its business continuity management framework.

We are looking for someone with :

  • Minimum 4 years in Business Continuity Management (BCM) or related area.
  • Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or Certified Functional Continuity Professional (CFCP) or similar certifications.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder during crisis situations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing business continuity plans from the ground up, preferably within a financial or pension-focused environment.
  • In depth knowledge of relevant BCM guidelines (ISO 22301).
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to facilitate risk workshops
  • Strong analytical experience with risk internal controls background
  • Ability to identify risks, develop & recommend tracking measures and cost-effective risk mitigation plans.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite as well as Visio.
  • University degree in related field of study.

  • Once here you will :

  • Lead the development of a Crisis Management Plan that contains the following elements : Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Communications including the implementation, and maintenance of CAAT’s business continuity and emergency response strategies.
  • Support the execution of BCM activities, including maintaining the Threat and Risk Assessment, Business Impact Assessments (BIA), Risk and Mitigating Assessments (RAMA), and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Facilitate exercises and tests, such as Crisis Communication, Emergency Notification, Technical Recovery and Emergency Management.
  • Train first line members on how to complete BCM activities.
  • Work closely with departments across the organization to identify potential risk and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations.
  • Develop, exercises, test, and updates Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) in accordance with industry guidelines and best practices.
  • Conduct business impact analyses (BIA) and risk assessments, on a scheduled basis, to ensure BCPs are comprehensive and up-to-date.
  • Monitor emerging risks and external events that could affect business continuity, advising leadership on mitigating strategies.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, BCM regulatory requirements, and best practices to continuously improve CAAT’s continuity strategies.
  • Serve as the key contact / incident commander for business continuity during incidents, ensuring efficient coordination of recovery activities.
  • Report regularly on the status of BCM activities including preparedness levels and test results, to senior leadership and relevant committees.
