Job description

VRIFY is positioned at the forefront of the mining industry’s transformation, leveraging cutting‑edge AI to revolutionize mineral exploration. With a focus on AI‑driven drill targeting, VRIFY synthesizes vast amounts of geological, geospatial, and operational information to deliver precision and efficiency beyond traditional exploration methods. As VRIFY scales rapidly, operational excellence across visualization, data integration, and content pipelines becomes essential to delivering high‑quality client experiences. Strengthening technical workflows inside Unity is a core part of this evolution.

Who You Are

  • A technically strong Unity professional who thrives at the intersection of art and engineering.
  • Passionate about building smarter workflows, solving bottlenecks, and supporting content teams.
  • Comfortable being hands‑on early to learn pipelines deeply before automating them.
  • Methodical, detail‑oriented, and driven to create stable, scalable systems.
  • A collaborator who enjoys empowering artists with better tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with CG artists, designers, and engineers to understand end‑to‑end production workflows.
  • Manually integrate and process assets in Unity during early stages to fully understand pipeline requirements.
  • Develop automation tools, scripts, and systems to streamline asset ingestion, processing, and integration.
  • Build and maintain custom Unity Editor tools, importers, asset processors, and validation utilities.
  • Implement and support automated pipelines, including batch processing and tool‑driven workflows.
  • Contribute to performance, scalability, and stability improvements in Unity project environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of tools, data, and systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to artists to improve efficiency and problem‑solving.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical art experience in games, real‑time visualization, or interactive 3D applications.
  • Strong Unity expertise, including:
    • Editor tooling
    • Asset pipelines
    • Scene management
    • Performance profiling
    • Shader fundamentals
  • Hands‑on experience with automated pipelines, batch processing, or build systems.
  • Proficient in scripting with C#, Python, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of data preparation, asset optimization, and import workflows.
  • Ability to work manually at the start to understand production processes before automating them.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and a structured, methodical approach to technical challenges.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with Unity’s Asset Transformer toolset.
  • Procedural content pipeline experience (Houdini, Blender Python).
  • Cloud‑based processing or CI/CD pipelines for Unity.
  • Familiarity with geological or scientific visualization workflows.

Core Competencies

  • Technical Problem‑Solving: Breaks complex workflow challenges into scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Automation Mindset: Continuously looks for ways to eliminate manual steps and improve tooling.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively across art, engineering, and PM teams.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable shifting between hands‑on production and high‑level system design.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures pipelines are stable, predictable, and thoroughly tested.
  • Ownership: Proactively identifies improvements and drives technical initiatives forward.

What We Offer

  • Salary Range: $000–$100,000 (annual, depending on experience)
  • Health Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid Time Off: Vacation days, personal days, and public holidays.
  • Flexible Work: Hybrid or on‑site in Vancouver, with flexible hours.
  • Career Development: Opportunities to own and shape the pipeline, drive team growth, and influence long‑term technical art foundations.
  • Performance Bonuses & Wellness Programs.

Terms of Employment

  • Full‑time, permanent role.
  • Based in Vancouver, BC — hybrid or on‑site.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Completion of a background check required.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

We strive to create an environment where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered regardless of their race, gender, age, religion, identity, or experience. We understand that unique perspectives and backgrounds bring invaluable insights and contribute to the richness of our culture and the effectiveness of our solutions.
