What You'll Bring :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Experience in Telecommunications, an asset.
• Cloud Platforms : Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); familiarity with on-premises infrastructure.
• Data Engineering : Experience building and managing data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, and Dataproc.
• Big Data Ecosystem : Proficient in tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Hue, Oozie, Sqoop and Trino.
• Databases : Strong SQL skills; experience with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, BigQuery.
• Programming Languages : Skilled in Scala, Python, JavaScript and Java.
• Containerization & Orchestration : Exposure to Kubernetes for deploying and managing scalable applications.
• Version Control & CI / CD : Strong understanding of Git workflows including branching, and merge strategies; experience with GitLab Runner for build and deployment automation.

Impact You'll Make :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Data Engineer with hands-on expertise across cloud platforms (GCP) and on-premises infrastructure, Big Data technologies, SQL, and BI technologies. You will work with a cross-functional team, further developing and maintaining projects on behalf of external clients and also on our internal analytics and data platform.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
