Job descriptionProvide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevent self-harm or injury. Monitor and report any unusual behavior, incidents, or safety concerns to clinical and security staff. Maintain a respectful and non-invasive presence while observing patients. Work closely with healthcare professionals, following facility protocols and directions. De-escalate situations calmly and appropriately using non-violent crisis intervention techniques. Document observations and incidents accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training English (oral and written) Previous experience in security or a related field preferred Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills Ability to stay alert and attentive for extended periods Ability to work in high-stress environments Authorized to legally work in Canada

Hours : 0800 / 2000 (Days, Nights, Rotating Shifts)
Payrate : $18.35 / hour
Averaging Agreement : Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) is a fully accredited, not-for-profit acute care hospital serving the Upper Ottawa Valley in eastern Ontario. PRH provides a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services to a largely rural and aging population, functioning as the primary regional hospital for Renfrew County west of Arnprior.
