Laser Operator

We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator with at least 4 years of hands-on experience operating laser cutting machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up operating and maintaining laser equipment to produce high-quality parts while meeting safety quality and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines (fiber/CO as applicable)

• Read and interpret blueprints drawings and work orders

• Load and unload materials (sheet metal steel aluminum etc.)

• Perform machine adjustments offsets and basic troubleshooting

• Monitor cutting quality and make necessary corrections

• Conduct routine machine maintenance and report issues

• Ensure parts meet quality specifications and tolerances

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

• Meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Laser Operator

• Strong knowledge of CNC laser machines and controls

• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints

• Experience working with various metals and thicknesses

• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills

• Familiarity with quality inspection tools (calipers micrometers gauges)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to work shifts and overtime if required

Preferred Skills (Asset)

• Experience with nesting software

• Forklift or overhead crane experience

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
