Tenure - Full Time, PermanentTitle - Business Development & Sales LeadLocation - Vancouver, BCSalary- $100,000 - 105,000 + performance bonusWorkplace Type - 2 days from home / 3 days from office || flexibleReports to - BD Manager / PartnerPosition Overview : The Business Development and Sales Lead will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding market presence on the West Coast. This individual will design and execute effective sales strategies, support marketing and communication initiatives, and collaborate with leaders across the organization to ensure business development efforts align with company objectives. The ideal candidate is strategic, collaborative, and results-driven, thriving in a high-performance environment.Key Responsibilities : Strategic Leadership : Collaborate with the Partner overseeing operations in Calgary and Vancouver, as well as the Business Development (BD) team, to support company-wide strategic initiatives.Build partnerships with BD managers and leadership to ensure sales strategies align with organizational goals.Participate in bi-weekly sales and proposal meetings to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.Sales, Marketing, and Communications Management : Drive sales and marketing by managing the sales pipeline, client outreach, and engagement strategies.Contribute to brand visibility through initiatives such as social media, web content, public relations, and photography.Develop unique content (articles, webinars, white papers) to position the organization as an industry leader.Represent the company at events and conferences to foster relationships and identify opportunities within targeted sectors.Team Leadership and Development : Support and mentor local leadership in implementing independent sales, marketing, and communication strategies.Address challenges with innovative solutions to inspire growth and foster a culture of innovation.Client Engagement : Serve as a brand ambassador by building strong client relationships and delivering impactful presentations that communicate the company’s values.Process Management and Reporting : Accurately track sales opportunities using CRM tools, aligning forecasts with organizational goals.Manage budgets effectively to optimize resources and achieve business development objectives.Key Performance Indicators : Revenue Growth : Increase in revenue driven by sales activities.New Business Acquisition : Number of new clients secured annually.Pipeline Health : Value and status of opportunities in the sales pipeline.Win Rate : Percentage of successful opportunities pursued.Client Retention and Expansion : Engagement with existing clients to strengthen relationships and increase opportunities.Industry Presence : Participation and impact at industry events, contributing to networking and market intelligence.Thought Leadership : Number of successful thought leadership opportunities and awards submissions.Quality of Deliverables : Timeliness and quality of proposals, RFPs, and other sales materials.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Active involvement in aligning sales strategies with broader organizational goals.Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Postsecondary education, college diploma, or equivalent experience in business, communications, journalism, or design administration.Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and marketing, with a proven track record in driving organizational growth.Experience in design, architecture, or engineering industries is a strong asset.Strong leadership capabilities, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign and Keynote), and CRM tools such as Deltek or Vantagepoint.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.Self-motivated and forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
