• . During your education you will have continuous access to a Bayshore Clinical Educator. Upon completion of the employer specific training, you will start working immediately with Bayshore clients, in the local community. No prior healthcare experience required.

Other experience that prepares you for HSW Training- housekeeping, hospitality, dietary aide, companionship, foreign trained caregiver, informal care giving experience.
• A Day in the Life as a Bayshore HSW :
• You will be supported by your Administrative Team and Leaders who are available to you 24 / 7. You will be scheduled with clients (home to home or facility care) to provide high-quality and compassionate care in the community with exceptional customer service. Successful candidates will be working all shifts including days, afternoons and evenings.
• Looking for candidates with availabilities of 8am-8pm, 7am-3pm and 1pm-9pm in order to best provide care to our clients.
• Successful candidates, upon completing the program, will be seeing clients throughout Sarnia, including but not limited to Point Edward, Bright’s Grove, Aamjiwnaang, Camlachie.
• Responsibilities :
• Provide personal care and support with activities of daily living
• Complete tasks such as skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care
• Help clients with comfortable positioning, lifts, transfers and light exercising like assisted walking
• General household management including light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation
• Lead caring and meaningful conversations and activities focused on client emotional health
• Use Infection Prevention & Control Practices, protective equipment to keep you and your client safe
• Foster a safe and comfortable environment for clients, promoting their independence and wellbeing.
• Build a strong rapport and trust with client and their families through compassionate & attentive care.
• Maintain accurate records of client care activities and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

• Qualifications :

• Eager to learn new skills and start working immediately after the training period.
• You are available to attend minimum 8 weeks paid training - Full Time Commitment Monday - Friday 9 am- 4 : 30 pm.
• You have a G or G2 Driver’s License and a personal vehicle to drive independently each workday.
• You are willing to drive in a scheduling area from client to client, each workday.
• You can work 3-4 weekdays, evenings as required and every other Saturday and Sunday.
• You are able to pass a background check.
