Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation (PBCN) is accepting applications for a Finance Clerk for the Witatoskemitotan – Mithopimatiswin (WMP) program. The position is on a full-time, permanent basis. The location of position will be in the community of Southend, Sask. The position will be under the direction of the Director of WMP and Community Wellness Coordinator.

The Finance Clerk is responsible for the duties and responsibilities of the Accounts Payable department of the Witatoskemitotan - Mithopimatiswin Services, which will be provided to the Southend PBCN members. The program is to serve the children and families of the community. PBCN is willing to train a candidate that has the ability to learn the required duties and responsibilities.

The Finance Clerk reviews and processes for payment; purchase orders, invoices, statements and / or other payment requests, as appropriate, for the Witatoskemitotan – Mithopimatiswin department of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation. Secretarial and receptionist duties are performed, including maintaining the filing system on client records and payment records. As well as deliver payments to the suppliers of services.

Qualifications

• Minimum : grade 12, complimented by a combination of training and / or experience in accountancy or bookkeeping or willingness to train.
• Use and knowledge of Microsoft computer software applications; Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook Express (e-mail) or willing to train.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal),
• Experience in maintaining office records is an asset.
• Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal record check.
