HR Coordinator

Location : Oakville, Ontario (on-site)

Type : Full-time

Salary Range :  $60,000 - $75,000

HOW YOU WILL THRIVE :

At Appleby, we are looking for a dedicated HR Coordinator to join our team and be at the heart of our Human Resources department. You will play a key role in supporting our HR initiatives, from recruitment and onboarding to event planning and payroll. Your contributions will help create a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees.

HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED :

  • Partner with the HR team to promote Appleby’s culture, enhance employee engagement, and support initiatives that improve retention, well-being, and a positive work environment.
  • Support the full recruitment life cycle, including implementing recruitment strategies, managing recruitment events, posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process, delivering an exceptional experience by preparing offer letters, and orientation materials and coordinating training.
  • Manage and update Appleby’s intranet with organizational documents and news, ensuring easy access to information and promoting employee engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute HR-related events that encourage collaboration and foster a strong sense of community.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in payroll-related tasks.
  • Generate reports, perform statistical analysis, and prepare presentations.
  • Support the development and implementation of health and safety programs, including training, record maintenance, and participation in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings to address workplace safety concerns.

WHAT YOU BRING :

  • A post-secondary degree is preferred.
  • A multitasker who excels at managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while effectively meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with care, fairness, and consistency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for accuracy and a specialist in handling sensitive information with discretion and care.
  • Experience with HR software and ATS is an asset.
