About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager - Adult Outpatient, Mental Health & Addictions, the Community Outreach Worker provides a range of clinical services to adults and their families affected by mental health and substance use disorders. The role may be performed in clinic and community settings and includes screening, assessment, brief intervention, case management / navigation, and individual and group treatment. The position emphasizes navigation, advocacy, and coordination of resources within Mental Health and Addictions and the community. Candidates should be knowledgeable in evidence-based psychosocial interventions (e.g., MI, SRP, CBT), harm reduction principles, and community development. The worker serves as a resource to colleagues, clients, and family members and develops linkages with community organizations and agencies.

Minimum Experience : Minimum one (1) year of experience is preferred. If not available, candidates with less than one year may be considered during the selection process and may be placed on the Community Outreach Worker (Developmental) scale if offered employment.

Compensation And Benefits
Community Outreach Worker : $35.83 - $46.37 per hour
Community Outreach Worker (Developmental) : $34.80 - $43.30 per hour
Benefits include health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan (Permanent Long Assignments Only). A Market Adjustment may apply periodically.
