Plan Group Inc. is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and implement schedules for electrical and / or mechanical construction projects and ensure timely project completion in accordance with contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Create, update and maintain electrical and / or mechanical construction schedules.
- Create commissioning schedules.
- Create work breakdown structures.
- Develop Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
- Review critical path, cost loading, and schedule content.
- Identify relationships, constraints, and milestones within project work schedules.
- Perform schedule impact analysis for change orders.
- QA / QC review of schedule submissions for conformance.
- Prepare requested reports and documentation as directed by management.
- Participate in site reviews and project kickoff meetings.
- Provide regular schedule updates highlighting issues, risks, and opportunities, such as changes in critical path, resource shortages, payment milestones, liquidated damages, quality impact, and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with department heads to define recovery plans for identified issues.
- Support the Project Manager with customer reports, presentations, and meetings related to scheduling and delivery performance.
- Other duties as assigned based on operational requirements.
Ideal Candidate
Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Electrical Technology / Engineering, or Journeyman License in Electrical, Plumbing, or Sheetmetal (asset).Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.Strong written and oral communication skills.Minimum 7 years of experience as a Construction Scheduler.Combination of education, training, and relevant experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of Primavera P6.Experience with MS Project, CPM Primavera, and construction cost scheduling.Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.Capability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.Effective oral and written communication skills required for the position.Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.Professional interaction with employees, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders at all levels.#J-18808-Ljbffr
