National Panel Buyer - Plywood and OSB Products

Gillfor Distribution Inc. is looking for a full-time, highly motivated National Panel Buyer for Plywood and OSB Products.

The National Panel Buyer’s primary function is to oversee the national regional replenishment of plywood and the regional replenishment of oriented strand board (OSB) products.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with branch managers, commodity sales teams, and managing inventory to ensure efficient and timely product distribution.

Core Competencies :

• Coordinate with individual branch managers and commodity sales personnel to monitor inventory levels and replenish plywood and OSB products as needed.
• Manage inventory to optimize availability and minimize excess stock.
• Collect and distribute vital market information to support junior and senior sales teams.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills to perform at a high level within the organization.
• Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and quickly respond to dynamic industry changes.
• Set / recommend pricing to market.
• Provide frequent sales & inventory guidance and direction to local sales teams to take advantage of market conditions.

Experience / Education :

• Previous experience purchasing in the wood products industry, including Panel and OSB purchasing experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively as a self-starter within a dynamic industry.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting to support decision-making on pricing & inventory.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally.
