Responsibilities
Provide troubleshooting assistance to the Machine Managers and Machine OperatorsDrives Continuous Improvement through downtime analysis, leading capital projects, evaluation of new technologies, implementation of process changes, and the development of systems and standards to improve safety, quality, production and operating cost.Leads the technical process for assigned asset(s) to solve equipment and process related problems. Works with cross-functional teams and OEMs to resolve complex quality and runnability problems.Collaborates with Operations and Maintenance teams to plan and organize changeovers and maintenance down days. Works with Process Technicians and Maintenance to maintain PM backlog and escalates machine maintenance needs to Asset Manager.Leads Root Cause Analysis investigations to prevent repeated failures.Collects and analyzes KPI data for reporting and project initiation purposesLeads trials from planning to execution, data analysis, reporting and communication of results to all stakeholders.Participates in the development of operations team members and junior engineersQualifications
Bachelor in Engineering - Mechanical or Industrial preferred (experience in Chemical and / or Electrical & Instrumentation is an asset)Professional Engineer or eligibility for P.Eng preferred
3-5 years of experience required in manufacturing environmentPrevious experience in the paper or packaging industry is considered an assetProven leadership experience with capability of teaching, coaching, mentoring, delegating and following-up with the operating and support teamsClear understanding of Health and Safety regulations and a proven commitment and dedication to safety;Innovation, creativity and a sense of urgency for goal achievement while staying focused;Experience with Continuous Improvement and Project ManagementAbility to work at a fast-paced environment, managing multiple competing priorities and changing conditions while implementing practical and timely solutions.About Us
