The Opportunity UVA and Bulldog Kids are seeking passionate educators to engage students and deliver exceptional experiential learning. Working in collaboration with a passionate administrative team, teachers have the opportunity to provide MORE individualized learning experiences and be part of a vibrant community. This is a part time/occasional position with opportunities in both the Bulldog Kids child care and Urban Village Academy private elementary school. This position is suitable for Registered ECE’s and OCT’s in good standing and has the potential to develop into a full time role. Our Values Community Development Innovation Growth Passion Self-esteem Teamwork Integrity About The Role/Job Duties • Teach Ontario curriculum subjects at UVA in your field of expertise in accordance with MOE expectations • Use a variety of teaching methodologies tailored to each student’s learning style and needs • Evaluate student progress using appropriate and diverse assessment techniques providing constructive feedback to students and reporting results to parents on a regular basis. • Create a rich, experiential learning environment in the classroom and in the school community • Work with administration, parents, and professionals to enhance learning and support student success • Opportunity to grow as a school leader and administrator by taking on extracurricular activities and special projects. Requirements University Degree and the completion of a Teacher Education program, College Diploma in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent education and experience Subject matter expertise in the course curriculum, play based learning and passion for creating experiential learning opportunities. Experience teaching pre-school/primary/junior/intermediate students in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines is preferred. Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive, positive learning environment and ability to use differentiated teaching strategies in the classroom. Empathetic approach and commitment to student success. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Bilingual (English & French) is an asset. Base salary: Hourly wage is dependent on position and experience Urban Village Academy and Bulldog Kids thank you for your interest.
