Job description

Randstad is hiring laborers for immediate openings for full time positions with our Tire Loading team in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia!

We are seeking highly motivated and hard-working laborers to join our team. As a Tire Loader in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, you are responsible for loading tires into shipping containers while maintaining high levels of quality in a safe and effective manner!

As a Warehouse Tire Loader in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, you are responsible for meeting daily shipping requirements by loading tires into shipping containers while maintaining high levels of quality in a safe and efficient manner. This is a piece work position, where you are paid per tire loaded, with a base value of $58.5 per load completed.

The Tire Loading position is a repetitive physical labor role, requiring the repetitive lifting and loading of tires for the duration of the scheduled shift to complete the required tire loads. If you can repetitively lift 50+ pounds, and are a motivated, and hard-working self-starter that enjoys working in fast paced environments, than a role as a Tire Loader might be the opportunity for you!

Position Details :

Employment Type : Full Time, Rotational Morning / Day / Evening Shifts

Schedule : Monday to Sunday (3-6 shifts per week on rotational schedule)

Shift length : 6-10 hours (depending on how fast loads are completed)

Pay Rate : $18 per hour (during training period) $29-32 per hour after validation

Location : Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

Responsibilities

Tire Loaders work in a team of two, and are responsible for :

  • Manually loading tires onto a conveyor belt (3-4 loads per shift)
  • Operating powered industrial vehicles (walkie stacker)
  • Accurate recording of data (tire load sheets, shipping logs)
  • Off-loading tires from conveyor belt into shipping trailer.
  • Operating conveyor belt.
  • Keeping loading bay + areas clean
  • Inspecting tires loads for quality errors
  • Maintaining a safe + clean work environment
  • Qualifications

  • Must be able to perform repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs for entire shift
  • Safety oriented with the ability to comply with all safety regulations
  • Eye for detail, ability to spot nonconforming product / quality discrepancies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team based environment
  • Comfortable working in a standing position while

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently

    This position is located in Bridgewater, NS. Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from the work site.
