Oldershaw Steel Services , owned by Brannon Steel, is looking for a CAD Operator / CNC Programmer to work day shift (Mon-Fri 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm) at its Etobicoke manufacturing facility.
Starting from $21 per hour, you will apply mechanical design principles to turn customer drawings and specifications into production CAD files for a variety of industrial processes.
Responsibilities
- Interpret customer designs and specifications.
- Operate industrial CAD / CAM software (i.e. AutoCAD, ProNest) to output production drawings and layouts.
- Daily maintenance of the plate inventory system to ensure accuracy and optimization of materials used.
- Communicate with sales and engineering staff regarding work requirements.
- Provide information and support to production staff.
- Maintain standards for document control, quality, and traceability.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper files.
Requirements
- Completion of a post-secondary mechanical design or similar program.
- Proficient with CAD / CAM applications such as AutoCAD and ProNest.
- Fluent in both imperial and metric systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Read, write, and speak English at a conversational level.
- Complete work independently based on assigned priorities.
- Work schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm.
