The Financial Analyst collaborates with Project Managers and other key operational team members to understand the business, analyze spend, cost efficiencies, and cash flows. You drive innovation by building and future proofing models and tools, analyzing and generating new financial and operational reports, and automating new and established processes.
Essential Functions
- Financial analysis of projects and new acquisitions, including the evaluation of revenue and work in progress
- Streamline and automate existing and new review processes
- Provide project accounting support to Project Managers and Construction Teams including various operational reports, cash flows, and variance analysis
- Prepare various ad hoc analysis as required by management
- Support the preparation of the Quarterly Divisional Update and other Board presentation material for the Housing Division
- Support in the generation of the annual budget, quarterly financial forecast, and monthly cash flows
- Maintain Lot Payables and Acquisition tracking for the Calgary and Edmonton regions
- Support internal inventory management processes, issuing invoices, and reconciling regional inventory
- Provide backup for key Monthly and Quarterly processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Experience
Accounting or financial analyst experience (4+ years)Beneficial
