Your New Role

The Property Portfolio Manager (PPM) at New Vista Society, reporting to the Director of Capital Assets and Development, oversees property and tenant support services for social housing. The PPM develops and implements property management plans, leads multi-functional teams to ensure tenant safety and building maintenance, and liaises with government and community stakeholders to resolve issues. They supervise a team of assistants and workers, coordinate property management activities, ensure compliance with regulations, manage budgets, and provide tenant information and support. The PPM also handles rent collection, mediates disputes, and represents New Vista in tenancy and court hearings.

What You Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, the PPM should ideally have experience managing rental properties in Canada, a solid understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act, and proven experience in managing administrative and / or site staff. They should be approachable, empathetic, possess excellent communication skills, and have strong relationship-building abilities. Preference is given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or coursework in property management.

What You Get in Return

In recognition of your commitment, you will receive a salary of $80,000-$85,000, 5 weeks of vacation, 12 flex days, fully employer-paid benefits, 18 sick days, parking, a government pension plan, and plenty of flexibility.
