Overview

Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital (VCA Canada) is seeking a Board-certified Medical Oncologist (permanent full-time). We will also consider applicants nearing completion of residency training and eligible to sit for board exams. Location : Oakville, Ontario. Employment Type : Full Time. Schedule : TBD with the candidate.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with one other Oncologist (DACVIM (Oncology)) as part of a multidisciplinary specialty team.
• Support after-hours and weekend care through our emergency clinic and critical care service, staffed with twelve full- / part-time emergency veterinarians.
• Contribute to a rotating internship program (currently with three interns).

Qualifications

About the Team

The current specialty team includes a board-certified cardiologist, two anesthesiologists, two neurologists, three criticalists, four surgeons and four internists.

Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital (VCA Canada) is a 24-hour emergency and referral specialty hospital operating from a 21,000 square foot facility. The hospital is newly renovated and supports professional development, CE to referring veterinarians, and mentorship of interns. Oakville is in the GTA with access to cultural activities and outdoor recreation.
