The Fraud Analytics team provides 24 / 7 fraud monitoring support and collaborates with various stakeholders to implement new processes and technologies to reduce TELUS' fraud risk exposure.

As the manager of the Fraud Analytics team, you are a collaborative leader who will drive our fraud prevention strategy forward.

Your innovative approach, strong negotiation skills, and exceptional team leadership will be critical in helping TELUS continue to grow its security practices.

Your security-focused mindset will help the team make strategic and tactical decisions. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to drive our fraud prevention solutions, protecting TELUS and our customers from fraud risk threats.

What you will do

  • Drive a high engagement, high performance culture and support team members to achieve individual and team goals
  • Actively and efficiently manage the team's human and financial resources
  • Proactively communicate on tactical, day-to-day operational issues as well as on strategic program-wide security issues
  • Represent TELUS and TELUS Security in working groups and other operational and security forums
  • Work with the team to develop, communicate, and execute strategic roadmaps to support the ongoing growth and maturity of the security posture within TELUS
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Foster an inclusive culture and inspire a diverse team with your excellence in communication, strategy, and vision. Listen to your team, motivate and engage them, and provide leadership, support, and guidance on performance, development, and career growth

What you bring

  • Sought out for your experience providing solutions and drawing up business cases that enable teams to grow their business value
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining collaborative relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to foster and maintain ongoing team awareness of the cyber-fraud threat landscape
  • Expertise in managing project teams, ensuring they execute on milestones and deliver on time and within budget
  • Understanding and experience with security and risk management methodologies, standards, and best practices
  • Act as a mentor and help junior team members advance their careers
  • Recognized for your ability to manage people in a fast-paced, highly engaged, and demanding operations-heavy setting
  • Deep desire and commitment to fostering an inclusive culture where team members bring their whole selves to work
  • Seeks out diverse perspectives, asks the right questions, listens, and removes barriers

Great to haves

  • 3+ years of experience managing a large, complex team
  • Experience creating communications and presenting to senior and executive leadership
  • Recognized security designation, such as CISM or CISSP
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration
