We are looking for a Director to join our Structured Finance and Point-of-Sale (POS) team. This is currently a hybrid role, working out of our VersaBank Innovation Centre of Excellence (VICE) office in London, Ontario three days a week.

As a Director for the Structured Finance team, you will provide portfolio management oversight for new and existing client relationships within our POS program. You will focus on the management and performance of assigned accounts, and be responsible for structure changes and implementation, reporting analysis, and credit application preparation.

Primary Responsibilities include :

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships and service standards with new and existing clients.
  • Meet or exceed net interest income and asset growth targets assigned annually.
  • Recommend new and innovative structures to meet client needs and maintain credit quality.
  • Ensure that new lending transactions that are delegated meet satisfactory underwriting standards.
  • Ensure that assigned accounts are properly managed according to internal processes and policies.
  • Work closely with Investment Risk & Control team to ensure audit deficiencies are rectified and the purchase process remains efficient.
  • Work closely with senior team members and assist with their files as required.
  • Make recommendations to policies and procedures where either market conditions warrant, or operational efficiencies can be realized without increasing business risk.

Qualifications :

  • Post Secondary education in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years prior banking experience.
  • MBA, CGA or CFA required, or working towards.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and highly detail-oriented.
  • Motivation to deliver high-quality results.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and quickly provide resolution.
  • Ability to bring sound business judgement to decisions and evaluations.
  • Strategic thinker with advanced negotiation skills.
