Airport Security Service Technician (Levels 1, 2, and 3)
KPrime Technologies is undergoing an exciting aggressive growth phase and we are looking for amazing individuals to join our team across Canada.
This past year, we have been focused on hiring a team of 110 technicians across the country and we are 75% complete. We are currently searching for 3 new team members to join our team in Sudbury.
The team is comprised of a mix of different level technicians that work a rotating shift supporting this airport and its satellites, and we want you to be a part of it.

As an Airport Security Service Technician , you will be a part of a team providing service on The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority’s (CATSA) passenger screening equipment at the airport and its designated satellites.
This includes but not limited to the installation, repair, and maintenance of passenger screening systems. The company will provide you with all the specific in-class and hands-on training you will need to support you in your role.
We are looking for applicants that possess a fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electronics technical skills, networking and computer experience, and take pride in producing high quality results.
Please note that we are posting for a range of positions, and the level assigned to candidates will be based on transferable skills and experience.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Provide service, installation, repair and maintenance of electrical / mechanical systems and equipment
- Order, receive and return parts as required
- Complete documentation and reports in a timely and concise manner
- Liaise with on-site staff and partners in a professional manner
- Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies
Education / Skills Requirements :
- Graduate of technical school, military training in electronics engineering technology, and / or related trade certification required
- Experience in a field service environment with direct experience in x-ray, screening technologies, and / or knowledge of complex mechanical systems is highly desirable
- Proactive and end-to-end customer service for internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required (English Fluency is mandatory. French fluency would be an asset)
- Computer literacy and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
Physical Requirements :
- Capability to sit, stand for prolonged periods, walk, climb, reach, bend and maneuver around equipment and work areas is required
- Lift a weight up to 50 lbs / 23 kgs
- Good hands i.e., proficient with manual and power tools
Non-negotiable Conditions for Employment in this role :
- Pass a Government of Canada security background check for high level security clearance
- Be permanent resident of Canada, or minimum 5 years of living in Canada with a valid work visa.
- Hold a valid driver's license and reliable access to motor vehicle transportation
- Hold a valid passport or work visa for training in the United States
- Have the ability to work an irregular work schedule, which involves shift work and on-call duties
- Have the ability to travel to remote airport locations for maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Have the ability to work on special projects from time to time and travel on short notice as required.
Compensation package :
- A salary range of $45,000 to $85,000 per year dependant on the starting level (1,2,3) with increase in line with advancement of skills through training
